MAY LEADER MEETING
Introductions/Attendance:
16 in attendance

Cookies: questions/concerns to Helena = incentives are in, please watch for an e-mail from Helena telling you how to pick up your troop' incentives
*
Bridging: Town wide event to be held on Sunday, June 15 from 3-6 p.m. at St Bridget School Hall, troops planning to attend include = 2107 Daisy, 2172 Brownie, 2078 Brownie, 2147 Junior, 2125 Cadette, and possibly 2102 Brownie, a separate e-mail was sent to those troops interested with more specifics.
*
Fall Encampment: Helena is determining interest in an encampment September 25-27, she will need to know which troops wish to attend no later than May 7 --please e-mail her directly at helenasic@... d with the following: troop #, leader name, level of girls, number of girls, and does your troop have a troop camper and a troop first aider
*
End of Year Adult Recognitions --please e-mail Paula at pbracket@... with requests for: numeral guards (these are the number pins for years as a Girl Scout i.e. 5 year pin), Outstanding Leader, Outstanding Volunteer, etc. I'm sure all troops in town have at least one adult helping their troop that would appreciate earning these recognitions
*
Spring Registration Packets: were handed out to those who attended, Deb gave an overview of instructions and has offered to "walk you through" the process e-mail her at dbrisbois6@..., Spring Registration is simple and makes starting up your troop in the fall much easier, they are due back to Deb by June 15, if you were not at the meeting tonight your packet was placed in your troop folder stored in the box at the bottom of the steps as you enter to go to the Plymouth church meeting rooms. FYI --the registration fee for next year has been increased to $12 per person (it has been many years since fees were last raised) --the deposit must be made and 3 copies obtained from the bank to complete the registration process
*
Lifetime Membership --there were some questions about the discrepancy in the registration instructions and on the membership forms about the cost for Lifetime Membership --to clarify: graduating seniors may sign up on an adult form for Lifetime Membership for $130 as long as they sign up by 9-30-09 (after 10-1-09 the cost is $156), adults may sign up for Lifetime Membership for $250 as long as they sign up by 9-30-09 (after 10-1-09 the cost is $300).
*
Service Unit Open Positions: we are in search of a Town Treasurer and Encampment Director. The treasurer position training can be done by Helena, but the Encampment Director must obtain training through the council check the Web site for requirements
*
End of Year Social: we hope to re-institute a popular tradition of getting together the last meeting of the year at a leader''s home for a "potluck" sampling of food and drink. "Bonnie-Jean, Lauren, and Mary Ann have voiced interest in sponsoring" More info to come
