Crazy About Animals Zoo Overnight For Cadette Scouts on April 17 & 18

Girl Scouts of Central & Western Massachusetts is offering a CRAZY About Animals! Zoo Overnight for Cadette Scouts at the Buttonwood Zoo in New Bedford on Saturday, April 17 & Sunday, April 18. Event starts at 6 p.m. on Saturday and ends at 9 a.m. on Sunday. Juliette Scouts in grades 6-7-8 may also register. Troops and individual Scouts may register.
PROGRAM: Discover the many careers that exist working with animals. Connect with zoo staff to find out just what it takes to become a zookeeper, veterinarian, field researcher, etc.
Participants will design an animal exhibit, discover (and create) one of the very special things zookeepers do to keep animals healthy and active, and even get a behind-the-scenes look at where the animal's food is prepared - the commissary.
Participation patch is provided which allows free zoo admission through 2011.
Troops and individual Scouts may register. Each Troop must provide a trained overnight leader and first aider, and provide 1 adult for every 5 girls (minimum 2 adults per group - maximum determined by the number of girls registered).

Registration cost is $55 per person - Scout, leader, or adult.
Registration will end on March 19 or when 60 people have registered.
