What better place to explore the world of animals than at Norfolk Aggie? Enjoy a tour of the animal science department. Learn how people care for the animals. You can see the animals up close, too! Learn all about Pocket Pets such as mice, rats, hamsters, gerbils, ferrets, rabbits, hedgehogs and chinchillas. You will go on a scavenger hunt through the Animal Science building and may even come across birds, reptiles, fish and amphibians!
Registration cost includes the Try-It.
When: Nov. 6, from 10 a.m. to noon
Program Level: Brownie and Juliettes in grades 2& 3
Where: Norfolk County Agricultural High School, 400 Main St., Walpole
Cost: $14 per Brownie
Leaders and adult volunteers are free. Please adhere to safety-wise rules for adults. An adult must attend with any Juliette Scout. Leaders & adults may be expected to help.

GET SMART. Girls will have a bubbly-blast at this action packed, fun-filled program. Based on science, expressed through creative bubble activities, bubble-builds and even some pretty, bubblicious artwork. Your girls will surely be floating on air after this program!

An oil tanker leaks thousands of gallons of oil on a beach, and rescue workers rush to save the wildlife, but how? As you earn the Oil Up! badge, you simulate your own rescue effort, and learn about the petroleum products you use every day.

What happens when a girl gets homesick, or hurt, or doesn’t want to join in? What do the Girl Scout Promise and Law mean to you? What you learn as a PA will be helpful if you want to work at large council events.
Fee includes PA pin.
Girls should bring a bag lunch and clothes for indoor and outdoor activity.
When: Oct 23, from 9 a.m. to 5p.m.
Level: Cadette, Senior, Ambassador or Juliette Scouts in grades 6-12
Location: Camp Cedar Hill Great Hall, 265 Beaver St. Waltham, MA 02452
Cost: $14.00 per Scout; leaders and adult volunteers are free

This program was such a huge hit with Cadette Scouts that Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts Council (GSEM) decided to bring it back again!
Create your own make up and toiletries at this hands-on program and hear from women in the engineering field to see if you might have a future in an engineering related career!
When: Oct. 20 from 12:30 pm to 2:30 p.m.

Brownie Registration for Lorax Program in Ashland Closes Tuesday, April 13
Love Dr. Seuss? Read The Lorax in an exciting new way! Create your own story about weird and wacky plants and animals and make your own portable "greenhouse" to take home. (This is a non-patch event.)
This Council-sponsored Brownie program is scheduled for Thursday, April 15 from 4 to 6 p.m. at camp Winnetaska, off Olive Street, in Ashland.
It is for Brownies and Juliette Scouts in grades 2 & 3. Troops and individual Scouts may register. Individual Scouts must attend with an adult. Troop leaders and adults are expected to help with the program.
Registration fee is $7 per Scout. Leaders and adults are free.

Create-A-Cook Program for Junior Scouts on Sunday, May 2 at Camp Virgina in Bolton
Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts Council will hold a Create-a-Cook program for Junior Scouts at Camp Virginia in Bolton on Sunday, May 2 from 1 to 4 p.m. Juliette Scouts in grades 4 & 5 may also register. This event is for Troops and individual Scouts. Individual Scouts must attend with an adult.
PROGRAM: Get Smart: Who said you can’t play with your food? Experiment with kitchen tools and see what a serving size should look like. Then turn the heat up in the kitchen and Create-a-Cook.

Dinosaur Dig for Brownies on May 13 at Camp Rice Moody in Reading
Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts Council is offering a Dinosaur Dig program at Camp Rice Moody in Reading on Thursday, May 13 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. for Brownie Scouts. Juliette Scouts in grades 2 & 3 may also register. This event is for Troops and individual Scouts. Individual Scouts must attend with an adult.
PROGRAM: Get Smart: Learn about what lies beneath the surface of the world. Make your own "fossil," go on a scavenger hunt to put together the mysterious dinosaur, and dig in!
Registration is $9 per Scout.
Registration is expected to end when all the slots fill up or about 2 weeks before the event (About April 27).

Get Smart. Work towards earning the Water Wonders badge from Norfolk Aggie students and their teacher. Marine Biology students will work with the girls to better understand the properties of water through hands-on experiments. Scouts will be able to observe and care for the schools various aquariums which are home to several varieties of fish, snails, frogs, eels and more. Enjoy learning how to properly care for fresh and salt water tanks and have a blast learning about the world of fish.

Solar Car Race for Junior Scouts on May 16
Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts is offering a Solar Car Race on May 16 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Camp Cedar Hill in Waltham.
Program: Get Smart. Build and test your own solar powered vehicle with your Troop, organize a race within your Service Unit even, and then come to the GSEM Solar Car Race Day to race against girls from all over the Council.
Troops will register per girl.
Each team will receive their vehicle from GSEM for an additional fee of $25.
Juliette Scouts in grades 4 & 5 may also register.
Registration fee is $9 per Junior Scout.
Registration will end about 2 weeks before the event.
