Framingham Scouts Holiday Sing-A-Long At Memorial Building

More than 50 Girl Scouts from Framingham led the crowd in a holiday sing-a-long tonight in anticipation of Santa & Mrs. Claus arriving on a firetruck at the Memorial Building. Then, the Scouts helped Santa count down to the lighting of the Framingham Christmas Tree. Afterwards, Scouts, families, and other residents were treated to hot cocoa and a performance by the all-elementary school band.

Holiday Sing-a-long & Christmas Tree Lighting on Dec. 4th

The Town will hold its annual Christmas Tree Lighting on Friday, Dec. 4th at 6 p.m. The Girl Scouts have been invited to perform a holiday sing-along in anticipation of Santa's arrival. Before the Service Unit of Framingham Girl Scouts will accept the invitation, the service unit is trying to gauge how many Troops and Scouts plan to participate.

If your Troop would like to participate, or if there are a few girls in your Troop, whom would like to participate, please e-mail on the Yahoo Leader Group, the Troop #, # of Scouts, name of leader whom will be present, first-aider whom will be present, etc..

After the Scout Sing-along, the Girl Scouts likely will sing a song with Santa and then Santa will light the Framingham Christmas Tree. Afterwards, Scouts and families are invited to go inside Town Hall for hot cocoa and treats; and listen to the all-elementary school band concert.

17th Annual Town of Framingham Tree Lighting

Come celebrate with Girl Scouts from Framingham at the the 17th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting where there will be festive holiday music, Santa Claus, photos with Santa, Candy Canes, Cookies and Hot Chocolate and a performance by the Framingham Public Schools Fifth Grade Band.
FREE Family event takes places at downtown Framingham
Framingham Girl Scouts assemble on the steps of the Memorial Building at 6 p.m. for the annual sing-a-long of Holiday songs, start time estimated at 6:15 p.m.
Music to be sung in order (via the printouts on the leader group site) - with Santa Claus is Coming to Town sung last as Santa arrives.
Scouts of all levels, including Juliette Scouts are invited to participate.

Dance Prism, a Boston-area based professional ballet company, offers Girl Scouts and their leaders an opportunity to experience a special afternoon of ballet and fun at their performances of The Nutcracker. Families of scouts are also welcome to attend. Daisies and Brownies will be treated to a pre-performance demonstration in the auditorium where they will learn details about the costuming, makeup, and scenery of the production.
Juniors and teens will participate in a scout-oriented backstage tour focusing on the technical parts of a theatrical production such as lighting, scenery, and props (limited availability).
All scouts will receive a specially designed patch just for them.
