Bubbles Workshop for Daisy Scouts in Dorchester on Tuesday, Nov. 2

Bubbles, Bubbles, Bubbles (Super Patch)
GET SMART. Girls will have a bubbly-blast at this action packed, fun-filled program. Based on science, expressed through creative bubble activities, bubble-builds and even some pretty, bubblicious artwork. Your girls will surely be floating on air after this program!

When, Tuesday, Nov 2 from 10;30 a.m. to Noon.
NOTE: Framingham Public Schools are closed on Tuesday, Nov. 2
Program Level: Daisy & Juliette Scouts in grades K & 1

Scout & Family Fun Festival on Thursday, Oct. 21 in Mansfield

Family Fun Festival
It's S'More Fun with the Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts!
Girls and their families are invited to participate in this free Welcome Week event.
Create and eat your own edible fire Make and fly paper airplanes while learning about travel destinations Fashion a bracelet out of recyclable materials Learn about the Sundown Sing-Along, Museum of Science Overnights, Animal Tracks, Funky Fabrication, Kitty Tales and more! Bring a friend!

When: Thursday, Oct 21, 6 to 8 p.m.
(Note: This is an early release day for Framingham Elementary.)
Program Level: All levels or Juliettes in grades K-12

Oil Up Junior Badge Workshop on Nov. 5th in Westwood

Oil Up Badge Workshop.

An oil tanker leaks thousands of gallons of oil on a beach, and rescue workers rush to save the wildlife, but how? As you earn the Oil Up! badge, you simulate your own rescue effort, and learn about the petroleum products you use every day.

When: Nov 05, 6 to 8 p.m.
Program Level: Juniors or Juliette Scouts in grades 4-5
Category: Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math, Environmental Awareness
Location: TBD, Westwood, MA 02090
Cost: $9 per Scout. Leaders and adult volunteers are free.

Cool Cosmetics Program for Cadettes on Oct 20 in Belmont

Cool Cosmetics: GET SMART.
This program was such a huge hit with Cadette Scouts that Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts Council (GSEM) decided to bring it back again!
Create your own make up and toiletries at this hands-on program and hear from women in the engineering field to see if you might have a future in an engineering related career!
When: Oct. 20 from 12:30 pm to 2:30 p.m.
Program Level: Cadette or Juliettes in grades 6-7-8
Location: Belmont United Methodist Church, 421 Common St., Belmont,
Cost: $12 per Scout; adults and leaders are free.

Daisy Scout Day at the Museum of Science on Saturday, May 1

It's Daisy Scout Day at the Museum of Science Boston on Saturday, May 1 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. This special program is sponsored by the Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts Council.
Juliette Scouts in grades K & 1 may also register. This event is for Troops and individual Scouts. Individual Scouts must register with an adult.
PROGRAM: Get Balanced. Do some fun science experiments, make a puppet, take a break for lunch (on your own) then explore the exhibit halls. This program introduces Daisies to science in a fun and interactive way.
Adults are free ONLY at Safety-Wise ratios.
Registration fee is $23 per Scout.
Registration deadline will occur when the maximum number of Scouts have registered or about 2 weeks prior to the event (about April 16)

Fish ar Cool Brownie Program Deadline is Tomorrow

Fish Are Cool - Water Wonders Try-It Program.
Get Smart. Work towards earning the Water Wonders badge from Norfolk Aggie students and their teacher. Marine Biology students will work with the girls to better understand the properties of water through hands-on experiments. Scouts will be able to observe and care for the schools various aquariums which are home to several varieties of fish, snails, frogs, eels and more. Enjoy learning how to properly care for fresh and salt water tanks and have a blast learning about the world of fish.
Saturday, April 10 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Norfolk County Agricultural High School, 400 Main Street
Walpole.

Registration fee is $13 per Scout.
Troops and individual Scout may register.
Registration closes on Friday, March 26.

Solar Car Race for Junior Scouts on May 16

Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts is offering a Solar Car Race on May 16 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Camp Cedar Hill in Waltham.
Program: Get Smart. Build and test your own solar powered vehicle with your Troop, organize a race within your Service Unit even, and then come to the GSEM Solar Car Race Day to race against girls from all over the Council.
Troops will register per girl.
Each team will receive their vehicle from GSEM for an additional fee of $25.
Juliette Scouts in grades 4 & 5 may also register.
Registration fee is $9 per Junior Scout.
Registration will end about 2 weeks before the event.
