Girl Scouts of Central & Western Massachusetts Council is offering a special Making Music Try-It Workshop program on Thursday night, April 8 at Indian Hill Music from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Daisy, Brownie, & Junior Scouts may register, along with Juliette Scouts in grades K-5.
Connect with Maestro Bruce Hangen and the Orchestra of Indian Hill for a fun-filled, educational evening to include: exploration of musical instruments, introduction to famous composers and the stories behind their music, discovery of musical patterns and rhythms, and listen to a live orchestra rehearsal.
Brownies and Juniors will complete their Making Music Try-It or Badge.
Pizza dinner included.
NOTE: This is an early release day for Framingham Public Schools.
Troops and Individual Scout may register. Individual Scouts must attend with an adult.
Event # 4708
Registration cost is $7 per Scout and $7 per leader/adult.
Registration will end on April 1st or when 40 Scouts have registered.

OVERNIGHT PROGRAM: Behind the Scenes Mall Madness on March 6-7
Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts is hosting a Behind the Scenes: Mall Madness - Solomon Pond Mall Overnight! on March 6-7 from from Saturday at 3 p.m. to 10 a.m. on Sunday morning.
The event is for Cadette, Senior & Ambassador Scouts.
Juliette Scouts in grades 6-12 may also register.
GSEM says this is an Amazing opportunity! "We have booked, “Girl Authority” (an all-girl Rock Band) - to give the Girl Scouts a special after hours pajama party concert!
And we have confirmed the Boston Breakers Women Soccer team to exclusively run fitness clinics for the GSEM!
This overnight program also includes, “shopping,” and workshops throughout the mall, a chance to spa, learn about nutrition, art, fashion, fitness, self care, and so much more. Make new friends through fun and adventure!
Each individual Girl Scout and adult will enjoy a meal from the food court as part of the program, and a continental breakfast.
Bring your sleeping bag! (though you may not sleep!) and be ready for an all day/night extravaganza!"

Poetry Slam for Older Scouts in Waltham on Dec. 6th
Poetry Slam Night: Get balanced. Into music and poetry? Learn about lyrical rhyming and poetry slams! Practice your rhymes and learn what makes a good performance poet. Listen to tracks of famous slams, write your own, then perform at the end of the program.
Scouts (Senior & Ambassador levels) are welcome to bring music to write to.
The event is Dec. 06, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at Camp Cedar Hill in Waltham.
Juliette Scouts in grades 9-12 are eligible to register.
