Spend an evening enjoying dinner and hear Dr. Karol Maybury discuss, “The Ten Things Girls Need to be Happy, Healthy and Secure.”
Dr. Maybury is a girl development expert, working with girls, their families and educators around the U.S. on topics related to girls, the media, mental health, and parenting. Dr. Maybury is also the author of her upcoming book, Raising a Natural Girl in a Material World.
After years of working with girls, Dr. Maybury has an excellent handle on the landscape that today’s girls are growing up in and how that differs from the environment that today’s parents, educators and leaders grew up in.
Dr. Maybury acknowledges that this is one of the most challenging times to be a girl and a parent, educator or leader of girls, but she will provide the audience with proven solutions and new ideas on how to be an agile and powerful advisor, parent, educator and leader of today’s girls.
Dr. Maybury is an inspiring speaker and as a girl development expert, parent and Girl Scout Volunteer she is well prepared to motivate us to build Our Girls, Our Future.
This special event offered by Council is open to leaders, adult volunteers and Scouts in grades 9-12.
