Girl Scouts of Central & Western Massachusetts Council is hosting a special Mystic Aquarium Overnight program for Scouts in grades 2-8 during School vacation Week (Friday, Feb. 19 at 7 p.m. through Saturday, Feb. 20 at 8:30 a.m.)
Registration is closing on Feb. 1 or when 125 Scouts have registered.
About the program: The Mystic Aquarium is reserved just for you! Girl Souts will be invited into the aquarium after it closes for a spectacular event.
The aquarium staff will lead 5 different classes during the evening including things like Squid Dissection, Touch and Learn, Behind the Scenes Tour and a surprise class.
Bedtime is about 10:30 pm and lights out at 11:00 pm. See how the marine animals settle down for the night and wake up in the morning.
Morning wake up is at 6:30 am. We will gather our belongings and bring them to our cars. Then, we will gather inside for a guided tour of the outdoor exhibits in the daylight.
After the tour, everyone enjoys a continental breakfast of muffins, bagels, cold cereal, fresh fruit, orange juice and coffee.
Our group has to leave the aquarium at 8:30 am but we receive a special overnight patch and get our hand stamped for free re-entry that day.
The aquarium reopens at 9:00 am.
Adult ratios for this event are a minimum of 4-5 girls to 5 adults.
Juliette and Individual Scouts may also register.
Event # 4638
Registration fee is $55 per Scout and $55 per leader and adult chaperones.
